Nine Contracts endorsed at the National Procurement Commission

At the 149th meeting of the National Procurement Commission, nine contracts worth 918 million AFN on the consumption of Roads, Fiber Optic and Irrigation were endorsed. Also a report from the participation of National Procurement Authority delegates of a workshop in Colombo, Sri Lanka was presented.

The endorsed contracts are includes promotion of Optic Fiber (DWDM), Surveying the possibility of irrigation canal in Andkhoy district of Faryab Province, Oils & Filters requirements of vehicles of Kabul Municipality, Legumes of Directorate of High Officials Protection and Security, Capacity building of GSM system of the Afghan Telecom, Procurement of extra equipment for Salaam Telecommunications, Procurement of Capacity building for GSM system of Salaam Network, Recitation Raw Materials for Sukuk Printings and the Rent contract of New Kabul Bank Central Branch related to the Ministry of Finance.

President Ashraf Ghani regarding the construction and reconstruction of Kabul-Jalabad Raoad which its contract modified in this meeting, assigned the Ministry of Public Welfare to announce the remain parts of this road for Biddings and also made the Ministry of Finance responsible to finale the Financial Agreement with Donors of the Project. 

At this meeting, the request-contract of Real Time Data Management project of the Ministry of Information Technology rejected by the National Procurement Commission. The Commission decided that again a Bound Bidding for this contract should be take place between the four beneficiary companies.

It’s worth mentioning that in this meeting the report from the participation of delegates of the National Procurement Authority and the Administrative Review Committee on Bidder Protests from 5th day workshop on Government Procurement Agreement in Sri Lanka was presented. This workshop was organized by the US Ministry of Commerce, World Trade Organization and European Development Bank in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

At the meeting of commission, National & International observers from the Parliamentary Cooperation Against Corruption, Afghanistan Transparency Watch, the Financial and Budget Committees and the National Economy of Parliament, Special Representative of the United States Agency for Reconstruction of Afghanistan (SIGAR) and CSTC-A Resolute Support were Present.
