NPC Approves Technical and Economic Study of New Saalang Tunnel Project

National Procurement Commission at its 105th meeting, presided over by President Ashraf Ghani, approved 12 contracts including technical and economic study of new Saalang tunnel project.
The value of approved projects are approximately AFN 4 billion.
The commission approved contract amendment of providing consultancy services for design of sub-stations and transmission lines related to Bamiyan province; contract of different types of agricultural pesticides; construction of agricultural farm in Enjil district of Herat province; and fuel procurement for Deputy Ministry of Afghan Public Protection and Security Enterprise of Ministry of Interior Affairs.
In addition, the commission conditionally approved construction of the first lot of Dushi-Bamiyan road with the length of 23 Km as well as projects of providing hospital health services in Farah and Nimruz provinces.
NPC also rejected the contract of providing IT tools for Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled and decided that the project should be re-announced for bidding.
The meeting was seated by ministers of Justice and Economy, acting minister of Finance, NPA officials and observers from SIGAR and CSTC-A of Resolute Support Mission.
